Jobber and Housecall Pro do the same core job: book work, schedule and dispatch it, send quotes and invoices, and collect payment. The real differences are in how each one prices users and which features sit behind which tier. This page compares the two using only what each vendor publishes on its own pricing page. It's not a hands-on test.

Short answer: A solo operator or a 2–3 person crew paying for one office login can start cheaper on Jobber (Core is $29/mo billed annually). If you have 5 people who all need logins, Housecall Pro Essentials ($149/mo billed annually, 5 users included) and Jobber Connect at the 5-user size ($149/mo billed annually) cost the same, so pick on features.
